The Wave

Years ago I came across a simple design at a time of great change in my life, it spoke to me and the sense of it stuck with me.

It was something simple, a design that flowed into itself, and in me it spoke to a sense of renewal. One that stuck with me, and one that inspired me. So I would sketch it out from time to time.

Eventually these sketches took on more depth, and I took up working with glass….

The inevitable happened.

Just cutting the glass took longer than I’d initially thought but eventually it was all done. And it looked amazing.

After that it was simple (albeit time consuming) process to put it together.

But finally, the jigsaw was together. All that was left was to Solder, Paint, and Frame it.

It took a while to decide on the paint scheme. I was initially tempted to leave it all white, I loved the contrast of the white with the Blue. But eventually I decided, the sea needed to be dark, like the depths of the real one, hiding untold potential.
